Prepare for a magical day of wonder! On this magical day children will embark on an enchanted journey through the forest, crafting wands, amulets and magical artifacts from natural resources. They'll create potions, practice spell-making and dive into a world of imagination where the forest becomes our magical kingdom. A mystical theme will guide the day's adventures, sparking imaginations and making the forest come alive with enchantment.

Join us for a full day of outdoor discovery and hands-on fun! Children will learn how to safely light, manage, and extinguish a real campfire. We'll toast marshmallows, cook damper, and enjoy sweet treats together. Creative activities include making playdough with hot water, crafting our own artists' charcoal, and testing it out with some forest-inspired art. Bring along some cotton clothes or material for us to eco-dye over the fire too.
-
Unleash your inner explorer! On Bushwalking & Scavenger Hunt Day, kids will go on an exciting trek through the forest, learning to navigate and observe nature. With scavenger hunt lists in hand, they'll search for hidden treasures, natural wonders, and signs of wildlife. Back at basecamp, they'll make compasses and maps, build whittling skills while also enjoying time to splash in the creek, craft with collected items, and learn about the local ecosystem in a fun and active way.
-
Discover the wonders of the wild on Beach, Bugs, Birds & Botany Day! This theme is perfect for nature lovers who want to learn more about the creatures and plants that call the beach and sprawling cottonwoods home. Children will go on mini expeditions to observe insects, birds, marine life and different types of flora, making discoveries with magnifying glasses, nets, and field guides. They’ll also craft insect-inspired creations and build bug-friendly spaces, learning about the importance of biodiversity and conservation in the process.
Meet Your Wildlings Forest School Leader
Hello, I’m Sara! I am your Forest School Leader, Play Mentor and the Brisbane Manager of Wildlings Forest School. I’ve spent years mastering my own bushskills and love all things nature and conservation. Now I spend my work days empowering children to try something new and learn skills through guided play session with hand tools and a hearty dose of adventure!
I love watching children build the confidence to have a go. I love their to watch their resilience develop when something doesn’t go to plan and I especially love watching them problem solve their way from an idea to actually making it happen. I always leave our sessions together with my heart full of pride for the amazing things that children achieve when they’re given the permission and trust to try and see what happens.
