Embark on a Medieval Quest at Wildlings Forest School's TWO DAY Adventure!
Calling all young knights, princesses, princes and adventurers! Step back in time and experience the magic of the Middle Ages at Wildlings Forest School's enchanting two-day quest. Set amidst beautiful natural spaces, this immersive Medieval-themed camp promises two days (9am - 4pm each day) filled with exciting activities, creativity, and outdoor exploration.
SESSION TIMES + LOCATIONS
The two days will be held at two separate locations- our day 1 location is great for creek play and rafts and our day 2 location is where we have our fire permit. Both locations are within a 5 minute drive of each other.
DAY 1:
Wednesday 3rd April | 9am - 4pm
Boorabbin Picnic Ground Park (Wishart)
DAY 2:
Thursday 4th April | 9am - 4pm
Broadwater Picnic Ground (Mansfield)
During these sessions, children will have supervised use of our hand tools including saws, hammers, hand drills and whittling knives. They will choose from a myriad of natural resources to inspire their imagination, encourage problem solving and engage their fine motor skills as they are given autonomy to explore and observe the natural world.
Over the two magical days children will:
Go on medieval quests: bushwalking, rockhopping and problem solving along the way
Construct medieval castles and other architecture from the middle ages
Design their own coat of arms
Whittle and construct weapons from the middle ages including swords, bows & arrows, shields, catapults and axes
Engage in (controlled, supervised) archery contests, jousting tournaments and sword fights
Experiment in the science of herbology and potion making
Undertake knighthood training, conquering obstaces courses in the natural world
Build rafts to explore territory unknown (available if creek deemed suitable)
Engage in strategic castle defence games
Learn to firestrike with flint and steel
Make honeycakes and hot chocolate on the fire

Each program is a TWO DAY adventure. Single day bookings are not available for these programs.
*Please note: we are an all weather program, although sometimes due to heavy or little rainfall, the creek space may not be safe (too low or high) for raft building. In the event that we are unable to build rafts, alternate activites will be offered. We do not offer refunds if the rafting is unavailable due to unsafe or unsuitable creek conditions.

INVESTMENT:
$210 per child for the two day program
Please note that children need to bring their own snacks, lunch and water.
AGE:
- Activites are aimed at 7-13 year olds.
- Children under 7 years of age are welcome to join at the regular price under the supervision of a guardian.
- Children under 3 years of age attending with a paying sibling and under the supervision of a guardian are free of charge.
